The Festival welcomes all visitors to its events. With this in mind we make every effort to ensure that the programme is accessible to the whole community.

Below are details of the sign language interpreted, audio described and supertitled performances included in Festival 2009. Our venue access guide has details of physical access to all of our venues and of hearing enhancement systems. You can view our venue access pages here or download the full guide here.

Access Requirements

To help make booking your Festival tickets as simple as possible we ask customers who have specific access requirements to give us a bit more information. By including more details about your individual needs on your customer record we can tell at a glance which seats to suggest. All you need to do is fill out an Access Requirements form. These are available here or by emailing the box office at access@eif.co.uk. Once you have completed the form simply email it to access@eif.co.uk or send to:

Hearing Enhancement Systems

Infra-red systems use invisible infra-red light to carry sound to receivers worn by listeners. The venue access guide includes information on induction loops and infra-red systems available at our venues. If you would like more information about hearing enhancement systems at any of our venues, please get in touch.

Both Touch Tours begin at 6.15pm. Please call the access line to book your free place. Before the audio described performances of The Last Witch on Friday 28 August 7.30pm and Peter and Wendy on Friday 4 September 7.30pm (both at the Royal Lyceum Theatre) there will be a touch tour of the set, costumes and props. The touch tours will start at 6.15pm. We may have to make last minute changes to touch tour schedules due to technical and cast requirements and all touch tours are subject to stage availability. We will make sure that you are kept informed of any changes that affect the touch tour schedule.
