About the Performance

JS Bach's cantatas lie at the heart of his musical output; a huge body of vocal and instrumental music composed to enhance and enrich religious ceremonies and social occasions.  

Conductor and founder Harry Christophers leads his renowned choir and period ensemble, bringing vigour and passion to cantatas written by Bach during his Leipzig years.
