Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre is Scotland's new writing theatre, with a record of excellence since 1963. With award-winning productions and programming, the Traverse receives accolades at home and abroad from audiences and critics alike.

Parking:

There are two disabled badge spaces on the north west side of Cornwall Street. The NCP car park is nearby on Castle Terrace. Please note there is no vehicular access to Cambridge Street and Grindlay Street.

Due to phase II of the Usher Hall redevelopment parking arrangements may change. Please call 0131 473 2000 for the most up to date information.

Access:

  • There is level access to automatic doors at the Cambridge Street entrance.
  • There is a lift with Braille signage and an audible announcer.
  • Wheelchair spaces are available.
  • An Infra Red hearing enhancement system is available. Receivers for use without a hearing aid can be collected from the Front of House team.
  • There are accessible toilets at ground and Traverse Bar Café levels.
  • The Bar Café can be accessed by lift.
  • Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome. 
  • Staff are available to assist.
